Awareness campaign commissioned by Ajuntament de Girona to highlight everyday sexist and LGBTIQ-phobic violence. We developed a visual identity using the universal language of traffic signage, connecting different situations through symbols of prohibition, danger, and obligation.

Challenge

The Department of Equality and Social Justice at Ajuntament de Girona aimed to launch a campaign highlighting everyday sexist and LGBTIQ-phobic violence. Avoiding stereotypical colors, the campaign targets all residents of Girona with the goal of raising awareness and inspiring individual actions to change the current situation. It also needed to be adaptable across various messages and formats, with room to grow over time.

Solution

Drawing inspiration from universally recognized traffic signs, the visual system speaks a language everyone understands, bringing attention to different everyday situations. The identity combines bold typography, clear shapes, vibrant colors, and consistent visual structure to create a strong and effective message.

At the heart of the campaign is the concept “Són senyals”, connecting the familiar visual cues with the goal of raising awareness and alerting people to everyday violence. The tagline “Identifica, Valora, Atura” (Identify, Value, Stop) invites the community to recognize the problem and take action.
